Post #3: Let the Good Times Begin!

The campaign is in full swing now and the events have begun in these final two months until Election Day. My first "Meet The Candidate" event was held in my very own hometown, hosted by my friends Jane and Oneita in beautiful Oxnard Shores.
Meet and greets are fun! There's a great combination of old friends and new who come out, and we eat, drink, laugh, take pictures, and catch up. I share a little about my background and answer questions, and I make sure everyone leaves with yard signs, buttons, window clings, and business cards.
Some people give a donation, which is always welcome, but I tell everyone the best way they can help me is to spread the word -- tell their family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone who will listen, about me and my track record of accomplishments in the office, and why it's important to vote for proven leadership for this position. And word of mouth doesn't cost a dime!
